Name and position
Antonio González Morgado, PhD Student and Researcher.
Role and functions in the project
Technical Leader. Responsible of organizazing of the technical work, preparation of deliverables and meetings.
What is the next milestone you are working on?
We are currently preparing the robotic crawler, which will capture data using an onboard PEC (Pulse Eddy Current) sensor. We are also working on the integration of this robotic crawler with the aerial platform that will deploy it onto the pipeline.
In your opinion, what is the differential value of this project?
The key differentiator of this project is the integration of multiple robotic solutions to execute a comprehensive inspection plan. We leverage the capabilities of aerial platforms for accessing elevated areas, combined with the extended inspection capabilities of robotic crawlers that carry specific inspection sensors.
What would you highlight?
The project offers a unique solution by combining various systems, such as aerial platforms for deploying robotic crawlers onto pipelines, robotic crawlers for long duration data acquisition, and a ground segment for processing the collected data. This complete solution will be tested in a real-world environment in France.
